A l’occasion d’un projet d’ouvrage Policy analysis in France, à paraître chez Policy Press, ce workshop a pour objectif de discuter la première version des différentes contributions. La langue de travail sera le français.
Policy analysis in France lays the foundation for a more systematic understanding of policy analysis in France. This volume constitutes a unique opportunity to assess and question how and by whom knowledge of and for policies is produced both within and outside the French State. It is intended as a critical reflection of the process by which studies for policy have been strictly separated from the study of policy. It demonstrates why and how this fundamental distinction still holds, even though it was regularly challenged by successive generations of scholars and practitioners. It also contributes to the debates by international academics and practitioners and comparative studies in the field of policy analysis. All chapters address the ongoing tension between the study of and for policy in various organizations (i.e., think tanks, political parties, interest groups, etc.) and arenas (i.e., Parliament, local government, etc.), but they also show how continued exchanges and relations have ensured the mutual enrichment between both spheres in the production of knowledge on the policy process grasped by theresearchers.
